About Tgt We Raise

Together We Raise is a branch where we collectively advocate and launch fundraising campaigns to support hospital reconstruction, underserved communities across rural Taiwan with limited healthcare and educational resources, and emergency relief efforts for communities facing crisis. We believe that through the power of collective support, we can bring the world to a better place. Taiwan is just our starting point!

Where exactly do our funds go to?

raising for a cause.

In 2024, inspired by the critical need for healthcare infrastructure in underserved areas, Together We launched our inaugural fundraising initiative supporting the Penghu Huimin Hospital Reconstruction Project. Our campaign aimed to raise NT$200,000 through the sale of 400 commemorative “Ping’an Turtles”—symbolic tokens representing protection and longevity in Taiwanese culture.

The community response exceeded all expectations. Through the generous support of our donors and partners, we successfully raised over NT$430,000 with the sale of 860 Ping'an Turtles, surpassing our initial goal by 115%. These funds directly contributed to essential medical facility improvements, demonstrating the tangible impact of collective community action in addressing healthcare disparities across Taiwan's rural regions.

About Penghu St. Camillus (Huimin) Hospital

Nestled in the heart of the Penghu archipelago, St. Camillus Hospital has long served as a sanctuary for the sick, the elderly, and those with limited access to care. Founded with compassion and guided by the mission of the Camillian Fathers, this hospital has provided decades of essential medical support to island residents — often in the face of resource shortages, outdated infrastructure, and harsh maritime conditions.

But time has taken its toll.

For years, the hospital has struggled with aging facilities, overcrowded wards, and outdated equipment that limit its ability to serve the growing medical needs of Penghu’s aging population. What was once a beacon of care now urgently needs renewal — not only for the patients it serves but for the dignity of healthcare on the islands.

A Call To Rebuild

In 2024, the hospital officially launched a reconstruction campaign, aiming to transform its decades-old building into a safe, accessible, and modern facility. This ambitious project includes:

  • A new inpatient wing with upgraded accessibility for elderly and disabled patients

  • Eco-conscious renovations to reduce energy costs and environmental impact

  • Expanded outpatient and emergency services to reduce transfer delays to the mainland

  • A multi-faith healing garden for mental and spiritual wellness

With limited government support and few major healthcare foundations operating in the area, the hospital turned to community-driven fundraising, relying on the kindness of local residents, overseas donors, and young volunteers across Taiwan to share its story and spark change.

Tgt We Raise's Role

The Penghu Chapter was born out of this mission — a youth-led, nonprofit initiative dedicated to raising awareness, rallying support, and building partnerships that sustain the hospital’s long-term transformation.

Through art auctions, storytelling campaigns, community runs, and hospital outreach programs, our chapter serves as a bridge between Penghu’s needs and the compassion of people around the world.
