About Tgt We Draw

Tgt (together) We Draw is a youth-led non-profit community organization that utilizes process art to connect with people of all ages: elderly, teenagers, and children. During this process, we bridge communities, exchange cultural stories, spread awareness, and provide art therapy, all while using the art healing process.

Why is art so important for elders?
We live in a world where elderly feel invisible a lot of the time. In our talk-text-and-message world of quick communication, their sophisticated memories have no space. Through the form of art, the therapy process provides the elders a firm footing, as stories stored in long-term memories unfold, one sentence, one situation, one scene at a time. Every interaction unfolds the truth of a generation that is slowly fading to dust.
